lamination servicesProduct design and manufacturing personnel understand that materials often require lamination. Offering protection, sealing, and other features, lamination can be difficult for manufacturers to handle themselves. That’s why it’s imperative to find a partner that is trustworthy, dependable, and delivers on quality. Conversion Technologies International offers a range of lamination services for customized products. Utilizing various modular processing techniques, CTI partners with leading manufacturers in need of contractors for this component of their production. As a result, CTI offers a broad array of laminating skills to meet the specific and unique needs of our customers.

CTI employs a wide range of coating equipment to laminate two or more materials together. Several processes can utilize bulk adhesives with controlled amounts for controlled costs. We can utilize hot roll lamination for adhesive film or web-type adhesives. CTI can also use powdered adhesives for a stretchable and breathable lamination. Typical projects are in roll form. However, CTI does have the ability to laminate sheet goods with our belt laminator. Specifications include a maximum roll weight of 2,000 lbs., a maximum width of 120 inches, and varying length runs.

Water Barrier Film for Personal Absorbent Products

CTI is well-known for offering lamination services with water barriers. Recently approached by a customer in the personal absorbent products industry, CTI delivered under a unique set of challenges. The project required lamination of a moisture barrier to the absorbent materials. Adding to the complexity was the need for a converter that could create a short run of product. This would allow the client to continue running larger volume products on their own machines. CTI used the water-based gravure method to allow precise application. We then laminated and trimmed the materials, delivering the product into rolls with a diameter of four feet.
